10Gbps cloud connections, representing the ultimate for business

Project Sonic is a unique product from NetVault, which allows businesses in CBD locations to access our dedicated fibre network. The network connects directly from a customer’s premises, back to one of NetVault’s data centres (bypassing all other carriers or chokepoints). This enables the fibre circuits to run at maximum speed — 10Gbps.

Connect to NetVault Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or any other cloud provider

Fibre is delivered directly to the customer’s comms rack, and this is lit directly by specialised 10Gbps Fibre Optics back at one of NetVault’s data centres. A 10Gbps Network Termination Unit (NTU) is then deployed to enable the breakout of a single 10Gbps VLAN – or multiple 1Gbps VLANs. Up to 10 individual services are available, in combinations of bandwidth (adding up to 10Gbps).

Perfect for connecting to the NetVault Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or any other cloud provider, Project Sonic provide the ultimate in performance, scalability and reliability. In the past, a 10Gbps connection such as this was prohibitively expensive. But NetVault is able to utilise its scale, and fleet of data centres, to offer Project Sonic at a fraction of the cost of what a large telco would charge for a 10Gbps connection.

Why Project Sonic provides the ultimate solution

Highest performance possible

NetVault’s Project Sonic runs at the speed of light – literally. A direct laser is fired from the customers premises equipment, into NetVault’s data centre switches with no active equipment interfering with the light source. Future upgrades to 40Gbps and even 100Gbps will soon be possible.

Multiple service types

Project Sonic supports up to 10 different service VLANs across the one circuit. This allows any combination of services (adding up to 10Gbps) to be run between the customers premises and the NetVault data centre.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Project Sonic brings Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to the table with a default 4 hour restore targets for faults on the service. This offers a 99.995% uptime SLA guarantee.

Netmon monitoring statistics

All NetVault services include Netmon monitoring, which provides detailed analysis via SNMP and Netflow. This allows channel partners, and their end users access to vast information to analyse and troubleshoot their internet service.

24/7 Australian-based support

We are all about Australian staff supporting Australian businesses. All NetVault support staff are located on-shore, here in Australia. Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) runs 24/7/365 so you are never on your own.
